The Apartment group has announced that Debrah Dhugga is to step down from her role as COO after her six month notice period runs out at the end of December.
The group owns and operates a large portfolio incorporating hotels, wedding venues, bars and restaurants in Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham, and Sunderland.
During her time at the company, Dhugga has overseen the hotel portfolio double in size, with two further new announcements hopefully completed before her departure.
Dhugga has only stated that she will be moving to a project overseas in January working on a short-term development project in Dubai. The Apartment group is currently interviewing for Dhugga’s replacement.
Dhugga said: “I have had a great 3 years despite the challenge of working through Covid, which hit all our industry and we all learned to manage different projects no one ever thought we would have had too. After 12 years in London and Dubai it’s been great to have some time in Northumberland.
“I have so many fabulous memories, as well as working with some amazing people. TAG is already a very successful business, and I will keep watch on its new developments and wish Duncan and the team every success for its future.”
