1 Hotel Mayfair has announced the appointment of Francois-Xavier Schoeffer as its new general manager.
Schoeffer has over 25 years experience in the luxury travel industry having worked in Paris (Lutetia, Intercontinental, Westin), London (Hotel Café Royal, The Kensington) and Amsterdam (Conservatorium Hotel). He started his career at Hotel Martinez in Cannes in 1997.
The hotel is set to open in summer 2023, Schoeffer will work alongside Robert Koren, who was appointed last month as senior vice president and area managing director EMEA.
Schoeffer said: “I am honoured to have been appointed as the General Manager of 1 Hotel Mayfair and to be part of the brand’s EU expansion. I look forward to growing our team at London’s first mission-driven sustainable luxury hotel.”

1 Hotel Mayfair will be on Berkeley Street, overlooking Green Park, and will be London’s very first mission-driven sustainable luxury hotel.
It is set to be a nine-story hotel, housing 181 guest rooms and suites and the Dovetale restaurant by two Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers.
