The Heritage Park Hotel, in the South Wales town of Pontypridd, has been sold for an undisclosed sum to the Zaman Family.

The Zaman family said it would add the 43-room hotel to its existing portfolio with Brilliant Hotels appointed to manage the hotel.

The modern property was constructed in the 1990s and is set within a large two-acre site. It was designed for modern, corporate hotel use and as such has excellent dining and conference facilities, as well as being a popular wedding venue.

The Loft Restaurant, which seats 100, has exposed timbers and is designed in a bistro style. Its Rhondda Suite can also accommodate conferences of up to 220 people, with the first-floor Lewis Merthyr Suite seating up to 120. The Conservatory has space for 60 people while there is also a good-sized Lounge Bar on site.

Peter Brunt, director in the Hotels Agency team at Colliers, who handled the sale, said: “The Heritage Park Hotel is tremendously successful with both the business community and locals with its flexible function facilities being particularly popular for weddings. Its location close to Cardiff and sandwiched between the Brecon Beacons and the coast attracts a wide range of guests from a large catchment area.

“Having sold the property to the outgoing owners in 2005, it is fantastic to be able to help them secure new owners and welcome in a new chapter for the hotel. The sale demonstrates that good hotel assets continue to attract buyers.”

Anoob Saban, the new owner of Heritage Park Hotel, said: “I am delighted to welcome The Heritage Park Hotel to Brilliant Hotels Collection. It provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the Brilliant standards and service.

“The property will be a valuable addition to our existing portfolio, and we are committing to the growth and development of this prestigious hotel.”
