Marriott International plans to enhance its European presence by adding nearly 100 properties and over 12,000 rooms through conversions and adaptive reuse projects by 2026. This initiative, representing over 40% of its European development pipeline, aims to capitalise on the demand for reliable yet affordable accommodations, particularly in countries like Italy, the UK, Spain, and Turkey. The company’s midscale brand, Four Points Express by Sheraton, is driving conversion opportunities with five new properties expected in the UK and Turkey by 2025.

The Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa has introduced its new restaurant, the Falls Brasserie, as part of a comprehensive £2.5m refurbishment. The restaurant’s menu combines traditional British cuisine with contemporary flair, featuring grilled meats, seafood dishes, and pasta. This investment underscores the hotel’s commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences and modern luxury hospitality in the Lake District.

De Vere Horsley Estate in Surrey has begun a £1.2m refurbishment of 51 bedrooms in Horsley Place, blending contemporary design with nods to its historic past. The newly designed rooms offer modern amenities such as walk-in showers, smart TVs, and Penhaligon’s toiletries, with suites featuring roll-top baths and private terraces. The estate also offers event spaces and meeting facilities, including The Hub, which can be booked exclusively for events and team-building activities.

The Belfry Hotel and Resort in the West Midlands has launched an £80m expansion and renovation project, slated for completion in Autumn 2025. The centrepiece is The Masters Suite, a flagship event space designed to accommodate up to 648 guests for banquets and conferences. The resort will also feature 149 new bedrooms, a leisure club with a large pool and family-friendly amenities, and enhanced outdoor event spaces. This transformation aims to meet the increasing demand for luxury venue options for events, conferences, and weddings.
