Montcalm Collection has partnered with Michelin-starred chef Akira Back to launch the all-day dining brasserie ‘Lilli by Akira Back’ at Montcalm Mayfair when it opens this spring.
Back has created the menu for this restaurant, which will offer a dining and bar experience to Londoners and hotel guests celebrating British cuisine alongside Back’s signature dishes.
Originally from Seoul, Back currently operates 29 locations under his banner in cities such as London, Paris, Las Vegas, Dubai, Beverly Hills, Singapore, San Francisco, Riyadh, Toronto, Seoul and more.
He plans to open 10 more over the next 2 years including Rome, Bali, Taipei and Florence. Lilli by Akira Back will be his second partnership in London.
Montcalm Mayfair, the collection’s flagship, will reopen following a sensitive renovation of the Park Lane Grade II-listed building by architects Holland Harvey. Designers Studio Est have rejuvenated the public areas including the restaurant, destination bar and private dining room.
Samantha van Exter, Montcalm Collection’s head of hotels, said: “We are delighted to have chef Akira as part of the team at Montcalm Mayfair and excited to bring his cuisine to London. Chef Akira is persistently at the forefront of innovation and artistry, meaning Lilli by Akira Back will be an exceptional addition to the London dining scene.”
Back added: “Our partnership at Montcalm Mayfair has been in the making for a long time. I’m looking forward to unveiling the next chapter of our culinary journey in Mayfair.”
