Waterton Park Hotel and Spa, part of Amaze Hotels, has announced the appointment of Craig Gallimore as its new executive head chef.

The news follows Stephen Fearnley’s recent arrival as general manager at the same West Yorkshire property

Gallimore has over 35 years of experience in gastro pubs, hotels and Michelin star restaurants across the UK and further afield.

Having trained under Marco Pierre White and Pierre Koffman, Gallimore went on to win the Escoffier Trophy in 2000. He also secured his first Michelin star at The Angel Hotel in Suffolk

Gallimore said: “I’m a huge history fan and fascinated by the story and heritage of the Hall, but predominantly I want to put Waterton back on the culinary map. A rosette would be superb! It’s a beautiful part of the world; the Waterton Grand Cafe is a very unique restaurant.

“I can’t wait to deliver a wide range of exciting and flavourful dishes.”
