IMR Hotels has announced that it has acquired Ballathie Country House Hotel and Estate in Perth, Scotland for an undisclosed sum.
The new ownership has stated that it is committed to preserving the hotel’s “rich heritage while introducing enhancements that will further elevate the guest experience”.
IMR plans to “respectfully” enhance the estate, embracing its storied past while creating a premier 21st-Century destination for outdoor enthusiasts and wellness seekers alike.
The plans include a comprehensive renovation strategy that will rejuvenate the hotel’s accommodations, dining spaces, and leisure facilities while ensuring that operations remain open throughout the process.
The company stated that the renovations will prioritise sustainable practices, preserving the estate’s natural beauty while reducing its environmental footprint.
In addition to the physical transformation, IMR Hotels plans to elevate the Ballathie House Hotel’s food and beverage offerings. By partnering with local farmers, artisans, and suppliers, the menus will be refined to highlight Perthshire’s finest regional produce.
The transformation is also set to bring employment opportunities to the region, with roles ranging from hospitality and culinary positions to outdoor guiding and wellness services.
Ishaan Ganju, director, IMR Hotels, said: “This acquisition is the start of an exciting journey. We are honoured to carry forward the legacy of Ballathie House Hotel and Country Estate while reimagining it for the next generation of travellers.
“When complete, Ballathie House Hotel and Country Estate will emerge as a premier destination for outdoor pursuits, fishing, and wellness, blending traditional outdoor activities with modern luxury and sustainability.”
He added: “Guests will enjoy unparalleled experiences, from expertly guided expeditions to indulgent spa treatments, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Perthshire’s rolling hills and pristine waters.
“Our goal is to create an estate where tradition meets modernity, and where every guest leaves with lasting memories. The journey to this transformation begins now, and we invite the public to watch as this iconic estate evolves into a world-class destination.”
