The Feathers hotel in Woodstock has joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), a global network of more than 620 independent luxury properties across over 90 countries.

The move places the Oxfordshire hotel within a portfolio known for individuality and high-end guest experiences. The 23-room property sits close to Blenheim Palace, on the edge of the Cotswolds, and combines period features with contemporary design.

The Feathers reopened in October 2024 following a multi-million-pound renovation led by design firm AGC BTR. The refurbishment reimagined its rooms, restaurant, bar and lobby, drawing on local materials and colours inspired by the Cotswolds landscape and Oxfordshire’s open green spaces.

According to management, the hotel’s membership of SLH reinforces its position as a destination for international visitors and enhances Woodstock’s profile within the wider luxury travel market.

Stephen Browning, director of The Feathers, said: “We are delighted to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a globally respected brand that shares our commitment to authentic luxury, exceptional service, and unique guest experiences.

“SLH’s reputation for curating independently minded properties aligns perfectly with our vision for The Feathers.”
