In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Norton Park Hotel, Spa and Manor House, part of The QHotels Collection has announced the appointment of Nathan Chart as its new general manager.

Chart steps into the role with a distinguished year career in hospitality, marked by a unique journey from two decades in sales and commercial leadership to general manager.

He has held roles including director of sales positions at major brands such as Hilton and Marriott and was also part of the opening team for the Lingfield Park Marriott and Country Club in 2010.

His strategy for the hotel involves driving commercial uplift by focusing on new, relevant packages across weddings, corporate events, and social banqueting. He also plans to strengthen the hotel’s position by actively engaging with local organisations and groups, positioning the hotel as a key regional partner.

He most recently served as general manager at The Solent Hotel and Spa and is also well-regarded within the regional hospitality community, having chaired the Southampton Hoteliers Association for five years, during which time he launched the regional hospitality awards, now proudly in their fifth year.

Chart said: “I’m incredibly excited to take on this role at Norton Park Hotel, Spa and Manor House. It’s a beautiful property, offering real potential to do something quite special. My vision is to build on its successes and position us as a true destination of choice for leisure, spa breaks, conferences, corporate retreats, events and weddings.

“If you look after the teams, creating a positive and collaborative environment, the excellent guest experience takes care of itself. The support and autonomy from The QHotels Collection allow GMs to breathe their own character into the business, and I feel this is the perfect fit for my experience and where I am in my career.”
