The Horseshoe Inn near Peebles has been sold for an undisclosed sum to new hospitality operators Mitali and Anil Bhardwaj.
The couple took control of the establishment on 18 December 2025, succeeding previous owners Iain and Fiona Dempster.
The inn is located in the village of Eddleston, four miles north of Peebles and approximately 30 minutes from Edinburgh.
The venue includes a restaurant that holds an AA Rosette Award and a bar known for its selection of whiskies and spirits.
The property features traditional decor including stone floors and wooden beam ceilings.
The sale includes eight en suite bedrooms situated in a restored Victorian schoolhouse to the rear of the building.
The accommodation holds a 4-Gold Star rating from the AA Guide. The new owners intend to retain the existing staff and traditional characteristics of the business.
Simon Watson, senior business agent at Christie and Co, said: “The sale of The Horseshoe Inn demonstrates that there is still good activity within the market. We would be delighted to chat with owners of hospitality businesses who may be thinking about buying or selling in the future.”
