Watergate Bay Hotel and sister brands Another Place and SeaSpace have announced Ammisha Bhardwaj as its new director of revenue and distribution.

In her new capacity, Bhardwaj will collaborate closely with the executive committee to oversee revenue and distribution strategy across the three hotel brands’ portfolios, molding the group’s commercial performance.

She will additionally continue to reinforce team capability, maintaining the company’s “people-first” culture and B Corp commitments.

Joining with over 25 years of commercial leadership experience in the boutique hotel industry, Bhardwaj has held senior roles in this area at the Taj Group of Hotels in India, a consultancy firm focused on commercial and revenue strategy and in leadership coaching.

The business said Bhardwaj’s appointment is part of a planned succession after Judi Blakeburn stepped over from chief commercial officer into an advisory role, to secure “continued strength and evolution” across the group’s commercial strategy.

Ammisha Bhardwaj said: “It’s such an exciting time to join the team, I am really looking forward to bringing all my experience and learnings over the years to our wonderful hotels and people. Everyone has such an energetic attitude and been so welcoming. I cannot wait to achieve what we set out to do.”

Ben Harper, group CEO, added: “Ammisha brings a rare combination of sharp commercial instinct and a deeply human approach to leadership. As we continue to grow, Ammisha’s ability to connect data, people and purpose will help shape what comes next.”
