The Sirius Hotel Group has appointed Matt Lederer to the newly-created role of director of acquisitions, as the company seeks to grow as a specialist hotel management platform operating prime city centre hotels following its rebranding from Resident Hotels.
Lederer joins having held several senior positions within professional services, including senior vice president at JLL and development director at Marriott International, where he was involved in developing brands such as Moxy, Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott.
Most recently, he served as hotel acquisitions director at private equity firm Castleforge for close to six years.
The Sirius Hotel Group is targeting a portfolio expansion of over 20 hotels in the next six to 10 years, taking its total estate to more than 30 hotels.
