Crossbasket Castle Hotel has announced the appointment of Zoe Douglas as its new director of spa and wellness, ahead of the opening of its Four Angels Spa this autumn.

Former spa business development manager at Natura Bisse, Douglas joins the hotel with over a decade of spa managerial experience, including roles at Archerfield and Farncombe estate.

Douglas will play a central role in the creation and opening of the renovated spa later this year, forming part of the hotel’s £24m expansion project. Douglas said on LinkedIn: “I am truly delighted to share that I have recently started a new position as Director of Spa and Wellness at Crossbasket Castle Hotel, Spa and Restaurant to assist in the creation and opening of our new Four Angels Spa.

“This is a very exciting opportunity to help shape and launch a truly unique luxury Spa concept and for that to happen I will need an exceptional, intuitive team to create this alongside us.”

The hotel’s renovation plans for its “Four Angels Spa” will involve an offering of bespoke treatments and improved thermal facilities including saunas, thermal beds and steam rooms. The development project will also introduce “Crossbasket Cabins” as an additional accommodation option.

Douglas added that the hotel is recruiting for therapist and reception roles.
