LXR Hotels & Resorts officially opens The Biltmore Mayfair

The Biltmore Mayfair has officially opens its doors today as LXR Hotels and Resorts’ first European property.

The 307-room hotel combines contemporary accommodation, views across the gardens of Grosvenor Square, and culinary concepts by Michelin Star restaurateur, Jason Atherton, to create the “ultimate urban sanctuary in the heart of Mayfair”.

The property features 57 designed suites, where, for special occasions guests can enjoy personalised embroidered pillowcases and monogrammed bathrobes. “Quintessentially British” amenities by Penhaligon’s are also provided in all bathrooms

The Biltmore Mayfair is also home to new restaurant concepts from world-renowned restaurateur Jason Atherton. Its feature restaurant, ‘The Betterment’, features a seasonally driven menu, from locally-sourced fish and meats that are wood-fired, to signature salads and plant-based dishes.

The property also houses The Pine Bar, which operates as a sophisticated bar with classic cocktails, wines and bar snacks, including home-cured charcuterie. Additionally, guests can enjoy a tea lounge and a year-round open alfresco terrace.

Atherton will also oversee food and beverage for the hotel’s extensive event spaces, including the impressive 500 square metre ballroom, ideal for large-scale events, weddings or cocktail receptions, with a capacity for up to 700 guests.

For more intimate functions, its Waterloo and Manhattan Suites can hold up to 80 and 100 guests respectively, while the Kendal Suite lends itself for up to 40 guests. The hotel also boasts a state-of-the-art fitness suite.

Simon Vincent, president EMEA at Hilton, said: “We are delighted to be opening The Biltmore Mayfair, Europe’s first LXR Hotels and Resorts property, on London’s prestigious Grosvenor Square.

“Bringing contemporary luxury to Mayfair, guests will experience outstanding hospitality, including dining by chef Jason Atherton, in remarkable surroundings that truly capture the spirit of London and British luxury.”

Feisal Jaffer, global head, LXR Hotels and Resorts, added: “The exceptional, singular service that is consistent across all LXR Hotels and Resorts, paired with the personalized attention offered by The Biltmore Mayfair is truly unparalleled.

“We look forward to creating a distinctive sanctuary from where our guests can experience the best of London.”

The Biltmore Mayfair joins Habtoor Palace Dubai, LXR Hotels and Resorts, as the second property within Hilton’s collection of luxury hotels. The brand made its world debut with the opening of Habtoor Palace in August 2018.
