Hilton London Euston hotel to undergo £8m refurbishment

Hilton London Euston hotel has announced plans to spend more than £8m on a major refurbishment project.

The refurbishment will include a transformation of the existing 150 bedrooms, the development of a brand new fitness centre and the addition of a number of new bedrooms to meet increasing demand.

Located in the Bloomsbury area next to London’s Euston Station, the hotel is made up of two Victorian town houses joined together. The new design of the bedrooms will be inspired by the heritage of the surrounding area, including its culture, literary, artistic and social links.

The decor will be inspired by an influential group of English writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists, also known as the Bloomsbury set, whose members included EM Forster, Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes and Lytton Strachey, and who used to frequent the area.

Mark Roth, general manager of the London Euston and Paddington Hilton hotels, said: “We are thrilled to be unveiling our renovation plans for our guest rooms and public areas. We have planned this based on our loyal guests’ feedback and our desire to continue to develop our services to meet the requirements of our existing and future guests.

“We hope to start welcoming people to our first refurbished bedrooms by the beginning of September and we are confident that both business and leisure guests will fully enjoy the new facilities.”
