Ramside Hall Hotel, which recently launched the ‘largest suite in the North East’, has officially opened its new multi-million pound spa.
The spa represents the final stage of a £16m development and expansion plan by the Durham-based hotel, which has included the creation of a second championship golf course and a new wing of 47 bedrooms which opened at the hotel earlier this year.
Along with its five pools – including a 25 metre swimming pool, outdoor vitality pool, balcony infinity pool and what it claims is one of the largest hydrotherapy pools in the UK – the spa also features a thermal suite offering a range of facilities and a ‘specialised sleep sanctuary retreat’ with soundwave therapy beds.
Other facilities include 14 treatment rooms, a Rasul mud chamber, a ‘beauty snug’, a hairdressing salon and an Asian Fusion restaurant.
Jill Russell, spa director, said: “The interest we have already had in the spa has been phenomenal. We are so excited to be able to finally show off what is undoubtedly going to be one of the finest spas in the country.”
The 127-bedroom hotel said that the creation of the spa has created 60 new jobs.
