Whether you are just starting out or are looking to renovate your current hotel decor, choosing furniture sets and pieces that will create the right atmosphere can be a daunting task. Take the following into consideration when looking at room décor, and you won’t go wrong.

Think About Your Guests

The type of clientele you are hoping to attract will alter the type of furnishings you are looking for. Is your hotel family friendly or more of a high-end couples retreat? Once you know who you are shopping for, don’t let yourself be swayed by beautiful furniture that doesn’t fit your brief. Remain consistent at all times to achieve décor success.

For a family friendly set-up, you are looking for materials that are easy to clean and sturdy enough to withstand boisterous children. For an older demographic, however, investing in more traditional furniture might be more to your target audiences taste.

Consider The Space and Lay-out

Secondly, the lay-out and shape of your rooms will change how you choose to decorate. Smaller rooms will fare better with a modern, minimalistic approach to furnishings, whereas a larger room will allow for more elaborate decorative pieces.

Lugo suggests choosing an elaborate headboard for a bed situated in a smaller room to draw attention away from the quaint size, allowing you to implement minimal furniture throughout the rest of the room. Utilise wall space or lamps to draw away from the size of the room and keep things as simple as possible.

For larger rooms, you have more space to utilise feature furniture; a beautiful coffee table or writing desk will create a luxurious atmosphere. Remember, however, that you want to draw attention to the size of the room, so don’t pack it full with furniture or you may risk your space feeling cramped.

For an unusually shaped room, invest in unique furniture that fits in seamlessly. Quality furnishing companies such as Ambience Designs will be able to create the perfect accompanying furniture that takes the shape of your space into consideration.

The Finishing Touches

Once you have chosen the hard furnishings for your rooms, consider the smaller purchases that can make all the difference. Choose interesting artwork and a unique looking tea and coffee set, in the style of your chosen theme, to really set your hotel apart. It is small thoughts like this that can make all the difference.

The important thing to remember once you have made your purchases is that care and attention will ensure that your furniture stands the test of time and guarantees the best return on your investment.

Whatever style or vision you have for your hotel, don’t be afraid to invest in professional advice. It could end up saving you both time and money.
