Le Meridien Paris reopens after multi-million euro refurb

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts – part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts – has announced its first ever hotel and flagship in Paris has reopened following a multi-million euro renovation.

Following the refurbishment, Le Meridien Etoile now features reimagined guestrooms, suites and the transformation of the hotel’s public spaces, including its popular Jazz Club Etoile and the brand’s signature lobby concept; Le Meridien Hub.

Located in the 17th arrondissement, close to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées, Le Méridien Etoile is the largest hotel in central Paris with 1,025 bedrooms.

The guest bedrooms have been redesigned with residential texture and details inspired by the destination, with illustrated maps Parisian arrondissements adorning the headboards and images of the city that are displayed in the rooms and corridors.

The hotel also features 2,500 sq m of meeting spaces. The small meeting rooms, ‘Petit Salons’, hold up to 25 people and are named after local streets while the large ‘Grand Salons’ hold up to 1,200 people and have the names of neighbouring avenues and boulevards.

Brian Povinelli, global brand leader, said: “With a stronger and more globally diverse portfolio than ever before, Le Méridien has hit its stride with guests and locals as well as owners and developers around the world.

“We are delighted to have the crown jewel of our brand shining brightly once more in the City of Light, as Le Méridien returns to its roots with distinctive design and bold destination unlocked positioning.”
