Channel 5’s The Hotel Inspector is set to return for its 13th series with a new emphasis on high end hotels.

Moving away from the struggling hoteliers featured in the previous 12 series, presenter and famous hotelier Alex Polizzi will now be looking for high end establishments that want to increase margins, refine their brand, or step up to the next level.

Two Four Broadcast, the TV production company that creates the show, said it is looking for hotels with “impeccable decor” but low bookings, hoteliers who host “fabulous functions” but profits are on the slide, hoteliers who want to launch but are not sure of their brand, or those who are in danger of losing their business altogether.

Madeline Eaton, producer, told Hotel Owner: “The Hotel Inspector is going outside its usual remit to look at more high end hotels, unusual venues and complex new issues impacting the hotel industry.

“We want to keep the series current and Alex Polizzi will address subjects that are close to the hearts and minds of people running and staying in hotels.”
