Global serviced apartments group acquires Cheltenham site

Luxury serviced apartments group Mansley have acquired the Cheltenham-based Strozzi Palace.

The acquisition, which was brokered by leisure property specialists, Fleurets, marks the group’s first property in the town. It was sold for an undisclosed price, at a guide price of £1.5m.

The Grade II listed building is situated in the centre of Cheltenham and is modelled on the 15th Century Palazzo Strozzi in Florence.

Strozzi Palace has six large suites and has been TripAdvisor’s number-one rated hotel in Cheltenham since 2014.

Chris Irving, directional divisioner of Fleurets, said: “The Strozzi Palace sale is indicative of a new breed of accommodation coming to the marketplace and demonstrates Fleurets’ capabilities to sell unusual and profitable boutique opportunities which may not be considered traditional hotels.”
