For the first time ever, aspiring and junior hospitality managers can study for an Institute of Hospitality Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the institute’s very own Greater London offices in Sutton, Surrey.

Award-winning businesses such as BaxterStorey, Sodexo, Compass, Red Carnation Hotels and Grosvenor House Park Lane already make good use of the institute’s internationally-recognised qualifications as part of their training and development programmes.

The Institute of Hospitality has a number of approved centres throughout the UK and abroad that offer its management qualifications. The diploma at the institute’s offices will be delivered by Merlin Consultancy, a London-based approved centre with extensive knowledge and experience of the hospitality industry and the requirements of management within it.

The Institute of Hospitality’s goal is to promote professionalism, best practice and reputation through developing and retaining management talent, benefitting individuals, companies and the industry at large.

The Level 3 Diploma covers seven vital business areas each delivered in two-day workshops including Professional Development,Business Management, Finance and Business Planningand Business Marketing and Sales.

In order to suit most operations, all workshops will take place on a Tuesday and Wednesday, approximately six weeks apart, starting in August 2013 and finishing in May 2014. All units are assessed using a simple online test that eliminates any requirement for reports and written work making the course ideal for busy operations managers.
