Interiors and fashion brand Laura Ashley has announced the opening of its second luxury hotel, in Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria, under a licensing agreement with Corus Hotels.

The 62-bedroom hotel, called Belsfield Lake District, is now open following a £3.5m refurbishment. The refurbishment includes decoration by the Laura Ashley interior design service team using the brands own home collections.

Facilities in the hotel, which joins the Manor Elstree hotel in Laura Ashley’s portfolio, also includes a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym.

The Belsfield was originally built in 1845 and stands next to Lake Windermere in the south of the Lake District National Park.

The hotel will continue to be operated by the Corus Hotel Group.
