IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed up 10 of its UK and Ireland hotels to company membership of the Institute of Hospitality (IoH), as part of its wider strategy to support professional development.

Team members from properties including Kimpton Fitzroy London and InterContinental London Park Lane were officially welcomed into the professional body during an onboarding session.

Company membership allows businesses to sponsor six or more employees into IoH membership. Benefits include access to mentoring, professional recognition, on-demand learning and global networking.

Chief executive of the IoH Robert Richardson said: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome 10 IHG Hotels and Resorts hotels as company members of the Institute. Their decision to join us as the world’s largest professional body for hospitality reflects their commitment to the Institute, to supporting their global team and investing in professional development.
