Compass Hospitality Group has acquired the Angus Hotel in Blairgowrie for an undisclosed sum, adding another Scottish property to its UK portfolio.

The hotel is located in the Perthshire market town of Blairgowrie, close to the River Ericht, and operates as a 90-bedroom property catering to leisure and business guests.

The acquisition forms part of Compass Hospitality’s ongoing expansion across the UK.

The Angus Hotel offers en suite accommodation alongside leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna and treatment room.

It also includes food and drink facilities, with the Bay Tree Bar and Restaurant serving informal dining, and a range of lounge and social spaces.

The property has a function and conference room with capacity for up to 150 people, which is used for meetings, private events and group bookings.

Harmil Singh, chief executive and president of Compass Hospitality, said: “We are pleased to welcome The Angus Hotel to the Compass Hospitality family. Its relaxed atmosphere, convenient location in Blairgowrie, and strong community ties make it a valuable addition to our UK portfolio. This acquisition aligns with our commitment to providing dependable, good-value stays across the country, and we look forward to continuing delivering a positive guest experience.”
