Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has been appointed as the management company for the Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel and Spa.

The third-party operator will provide management services for the 83-guest room property. It will also support the hotel’s future investment strategy.

The site is located in the town centre, near Bournemouth Beach and Pier. It is seven miles from Bournemouth Airport and accessible from London.

The property includes five function suites with a capacity for 200 delegates. It also houses a restaurant, lounge bar, and two indoor swimming pools.

Aimbridge EMEA is the international division of Aimbridge Hospitality, a global hotel management company based in the US.

The company outperformed market benchmarks in late 2025. Its gross operating profit performance index reached 101.8, nearly two points above its competitors.

President of Aimbridge EMEA, David Anderson, said: “Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel and Spa is a prominent hotel in one of the UK’s most well-known seaside destinations, so I’m thrilled to welcome the property to our portfolio.

“Guests are increasingly looking for getaways where they can switch off and recharge, so with its extensive leisure facilities and its location near the beach, the hotel provides a great destination for travellers.Plus, its meeting and events facilities, as well as its close proximity to other cities and Bournemouth Airport, also makes it a fantastic location for corporate business bookings and functions, too.”

He added: “We’re looking forward to putting our hotel management expertise into action by drawing on both Aimbridge Hospitality’s global insights and tools, as well as our team’s wealth of on-the-ground operational experience here in the UK market.”

Aimbridge Hospitality’s expansion reflects ongoing investment in the UK market

Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA’s recent appointment to manage the Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel signals a significant development in the company’s trajectory within the UK hospitality sector. This follows the hotel’s acquisition by Dedigama Properties, detailed in March 2026, reflecting Aimbridge’s established strategy of enhancing hotel performance through operational expertise, previously evidenced by its gross operating profit performance index of 101.8 in late 2025.

Before this transition, the Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel was on the market for £7.5 million in May 2025, marking a decisive movement towards revitalisation and increased occupancy. The ongoing commitment to refurbishing the property, discussed previously in May 2023, underscores the importance of competitive facilities in attracting both corporate and leisure bookings, shaping a robust future for the hotel.
