The Ampersand Hotel in South Kensington has announced it will open the Science Family Suite in June, which is designed to sleep up to four guests.

News of the launch follows the hotel’s existing science-themed afternoon tea. The suite is located near the Science Museum and other cultural institutions in the South Kensington museum district.

The children’s bedroom will feature a rocket-style bunk bed with celestial detailing. Designers intended the space to be an interactive environment for younger guests through the use of immersive storytelling.

In addition, the master bedroom will include the hotel’s signature velvet headboard and maintain the science theme with “refined” finishes. The layout includes shared space and an en-suite bathroom with Malin and Goetz amenities.

Guests at the hotel can also access the Science Afternoon Tea, which includes dinosaur-shaped biscuits and jam served in petri dishes, using dry-ice for visual effects.

The hotel is expected to open bookings for the suite in early June.
