Octant Hotels has recorded more than 750,000 guests and 365,763 room nights as the brand reaches its fourth year of operations.

The Portuguese hotel group reported visitors from 179 nationalities since opening its first site. The United States, United Kingdom and Portugal remain its primary markets.

Guests aged 36 to 50 years old represent 25% of the total intake, while visitors aged 51 to 65 make up 20% of the brand’s customer base.

The average stay for the group is two nights. This duration accounts for 39% of all bookings recorded across the portfolio since its inception.

Octant is currently expanding two of its properties in the Algarve. Octant Praia Verde is scheduled to open a new spa later this year.

The Praia Verde site will also add suites to its Beach Collection. These units include private terraces and plunge pools in the eastern Algarve region.

Octant Vila Monte in Moncarapacho is undergoing a phased expansion. This project includes a new restaurant and two accommodation concepts, Vila Alegria and Casas do Olival.

Previous initiatives included the Octant Latitude project in 2025. This programme mapped 300 local recommendations across the regions where the hotels operate.

The group also launched the Octant Douro festival in October 2025. The event focused on cultural and gastronomic links between Spain and Portugal.

Luís Mexia Alves, chief executive of Octant Hotels, said: “Four years on, we look at these figures with genuine gratitude for the diversity of people, cultures and stories that have passed through Octant Hotels.

“The brand was born from the belief that it was possible to create an authentic, informal and high-quality Portuguese hospitality experience, and what these four years show us is that this conviction transcends borders.”

He added: “We have welcomed guests from more than 150 different countries, which, for Octant Hotels, is the clearest proof that Portugal has stories to tell that the world wants to discover.”
