Room to Reward appoints three industry leaders as charity ambassadors

In this episode we speak to Daniel Kyriakides, a partner at law firm Reed Smith. We discuss why private members’ clubs are experiencing a resurgence and what that means for the future of the hotel sector. From heritage buildings being reimagined as lifestyle destinations to hotels borrowing the experiential playbook of members’ clubs, we discuss how the lines between the two are becoming increasingly blurred, and why global growth is on the horizon for the private members club model.

Three senior industry leaders have been appointed as charity ambassadors to the growing charity initiative, Room to Reward.

Robin Sheppard, co-founder and chairman of Bespoke Hotels; Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive of the British Hospitality Association (BHA); and Paul Callingham, MD of Starboard Hotels have all been appointed as ambassadors to the charity.

Founded by Nicolas Roach, chairman of the Nicolas James Group, the unique programme rewards charity workers with complimentary short breaks across the UK, with hotel partners donating anticipated unsold rooms.

Roach said: “We are absolutely delighted that such key industry influencers are willing to act as ambassadors for our charity.

“We truly believe that their involvement will go a long way to increasing the awareness of the programme within the hospitality industry and encourage other hotels to make use of their unsold rooms.”
