The Hospitality Guild has announced that it will hold its second Twitter debate as part of its Act NOW! on apprenticeships campaign, on June 27, with two to follow in September and December.
The debate in June will run from 10 to11am and will focus on four main questions following the Government’s consultation on how to implement the Richard Review’s recommendations on the future of apprenticeships.
The main questions that employers have highlighted as key to both the use and understanding of apprenticeships are:
1. Who should be an apprentice?
2. How apprenticeships can deliver substantial new skills?
3. Should Level 2 Maths and English be included for all apprentices and what are the obstacles?
4. Should apprentices have to do a final test and should there be grades?
Anyone wishing to take part in the Twitter debate, to either to ask questions, or offer comments, simply needs to include the hashtag #qactnow to their post.
