Hotel Indigo Coventry has appointed Lewis Lewis as hotel manager from 1 September. He succeeds Micheal Lyons, who has moved to a cluster general manager role within Castlebridge Hospitality.

Lewis has more than two decades of international experience across hotels, restaurants, bars and the wider travel sector.

He has held leadership roles with IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson Hotel Group, Jumeirah and Macdonald Hotels.

Most recently, he was deputy resort general manager in Spain’s Valencia region, where he oversaw the conversion of the former Grand Luxor Resort into a dual-branded Four Points by Sheraton hotel and villas under Marriott International.

His role included supporting brand rollout, workforce training and operational readiness across more than 400 rooms, villas and MICE facilities, as well as developing revenue strategies and food and beverage concepts.

Previous positions include deputy and interim general manager at Radisson Blu Cardiff, a 215-room city-centre hotel, where he oversaw sales, revenue management, housekeeping and food and beverage operations.

Earlier roles encompassed rooms division director, group director of food and beverage operations for Niche Hospitality’s luxury portfolio, and area revenue and yield manager for Hilton’s Southwest Cluster.

Hotel Indigo Coventry opened in January 2024 after a multi-million-pound project. The 101-room hotel features Cogs Bar and Kitchen, which highlights growers and producers from Warwickshire and across the British Isles.

Lewis said: “It is extremely exciting to join Hotel Indigo Coventry and to work for such a fantastic brand. I want to continue making Hotel Indigo Coventry the best place to stay, drink, eat and relax in this amazing, vibrant city.”

Scott Rankin, group operations manager at Castlebridge Hospitality, added: “We’re delighted to appoint Lewis as our new hotel manager at Hotel Indigo Coventry. Lewis brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, and I know he will be a fantastic asset to the team.”
