Miiro Templeton Garden has appointed Dean Culpan as its general manager.

Culpan took up the role in January and brings more than 20 years’ experience in senior hotel operations, openings and business transformation across the UK hospitality sector.

Prior to joining Miiro Templeton Garden, he served as general manager of South Place Hotel, the first hotel from The Evolv Collection, where he oversaw an 80-bedroom property with multiple bars and restaurants, including Michelin-starred Angler.

His role focused on strengthening operational performance and positioning the hotel as an internationally recognised five-star destination.

Culpan has previously also held a number of senior leadership and opening roles, including interim general manager at Birch in Hertfordshire, opening general manager at The Mandrake in Fitzrovia, and launch consultant at Chateau Denmark.

Earlier in his career, he also held senior positions at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel, Kensington Close Hotel and Spa, Harrods Estates and The Grosvenor Hotel.

Alongside his hotel roles, Culpan has served as a non-executive director at The Operations People since 2019, providing interim leadership, operational transformation and advisory support to hospitality businesses.

In a LinkedIn post, Culpan said: “After a long and thoughtful search, it was essential to find a culture that truly aligns with my values – a shared moral compass, clear ambition, and a genuine commitment to people and purpose. Templeton Garden feels like home, and I’m incredibly pleased to be joining a business whose ethos and vision resonate so strongly with what I want to achieve. I’m excited for the journey ahead and grateful to shape the London outpost for this truly exciting brand.
