Miiro has announced the launch of Templeton Garden in London, marking the brand’s debut in the UK and the fourth opening in Europe.
Situated in Earl’s Court, the hotel features 156 rooms and suites, some of which have their own balconies.
Guests will be able to choose from a range of eight individually designed room options, including single, classic, classic with garden view, twin, superior, deluxe, junior suite, and other Templeton Garden Suite categories, the latter offering a private garden or direct access to the main garden.
The hotel’s interiors have been designed to create a “peaceful sanctuary” for guests. The bar features a custom illuminated oak branch chandelier, designed and crafted by Cox London, to echo the surrounding area. The restaurant and bar houses a bespoke mural, designed and hand-painted on site by decorative artist Tess Newall, inspired by the foliage growing in the garden.
Both the restaurant and bar overlook the hotel’s own garden. Sprout is the hotel’s neighbourhood bar offering a menu which features both signature and an ever-changing selection of drinks, incorporating freshly grown herbs from the hotel garden. Led by bar director Will Meredith, Sprout has coined a ‘Keystone Cocktail’ approach, with each drink centered around a defining keystone element, such as the colour, the ingredients, or a garnish. Guests will be able to enjoy cocktails on the bar terrace which acts as an outdoor extension for the summer months.
Modern British restaurant Pippin’s is located in the heart of the hotel and will be led by head chef Liam Fauchard-Newman. With 62 covers, the dining room features an open kitchen and indoor-outdoor seating.
Templeton Garden will also offer café-meets-deli, Pip’s, with its own street entrance separate to the hotel, designed to interact with locals and hotel guests. With 32 covers, Pip’s offers a selection of fresh pastries, bread and coffee from the counter, as well as a breakfast menu featuring brunch classics, lunch and dinner.
Additional hotel spaces include The Library which offers a curated collection of works by authors showcasing Britain’s literary heritage and reflecting on Earl’s Court’s rich creative past. There is also the Refresh Room, available both before check-in and after check-out, featuring a shower, toiletries and changing space, in addition to space to securely store luggage before the room is ready.
Lastly, the hotel features a state-of-the-art Gym, open 24 hours and accessible to hotel guests, complete with equipment, cardiovascular machines, free weights and a dedicated stretching area.
Neena Gupta, CEO of Miiro and executive director of group strategy and international hospitality at InterGlobe Enterprises, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the opening of Templeton Garden, the latest addition to Miiro’s growing collection of characterful boutique hotels across Europe.
“It beautifully embodies our promise to deliver Brilliantly Considered stays that connect guests with the local community. With its elegant design and lush garden oasis, Templeton Garden is set to become London’s newest local favourite.”
Nicola James, general manager at Templeton Garden, added: “I am thrilled to be welcoming guests to Templeton Garden. This hotel has the potential to capture hearts and become a neighbourhood gem, and I am honoured to have been on this journey from the very beginning and now can’t wait to open the doors and see the future unfold.”
