IHG Hotels and Resorts has appointed Wei Manfredi as senior vice-president of artificial intelligence and architecture.
She joins IHG with experience across a range of global businesses, including McDonald’s, Google Cloud, Lululemon and Visa, and has also held advisory roles within the technology sector.
In her new role, Manfredi will be responsible for setting IHG’s artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, overseeing its technical and data architecture, and developing partnerships with technology providers.
The role is intended to support hotel owners, guests and staff through more personalised and efficient systems.
According to IHG, it will also build on recent technology programmes across the group, including the rollout of a new revenue management system to more than 6,700 hotels and the introduction of a new property management system at around 2,000 sites.
The group has also deployed machine translation tools across more than 20 brands and expanded the use of automation and AI-driven systems, alongside continued development of its IHG One Rewards app.
Jolie Fleming, chief product and technology officer at IHG Hotels and Resorts, said: “Wei has a proven track record of leading AI-driven strategies for global brands. Her appointment reflects our commitment to responsible innovation – supporting our owners, optimising operations, and engaging guests in new ways.”
