Blanch House Hotel, an award-winning AA 3 Star seaside town house hotel in Brighton, has been brought to the market for a price of £1.8m.

The boutique hotel occupies a “substantial” Grade II listed Georgian town house located close to the seafront in the heart of Kemp Town, close to all the local cafes, bars and restaurants.

The hotel is arranged over three floors and retaining many original period features and comprises 12 en-suite guest bedrooms, a residents’ lounge/champagne and cocktail bar, and a restaurant which is also utilised as a function room for hosting weddings, private dining events, celebrations and business functions. The property also features an owners’ or staff apartment on the lower ground floor.

The current owners, Jeremy Ornellas and Kerry Turner have been in place for over seven years and are now looking forward to semi-retirement. During their ownership, the property has undergone a complete refurbishment, presenting a new owner with the opportunity to take over and continue trading immediately.

Jeremy Ornellas and Kerry Turner, said “Blanch House is a very special place indeed and since we took over the hotel in 2011, we have really enjoyed working with a great team, met some wonderful people and hosted some very special events. We shall be sad to leave but are now ready to take a step back so that we can focus on other interests, allowing new owners to come on board and continue to develop the business further.”

Andrew Moore, director at Christie and Co’s Maidstone office who is handling the sale, added: “Blanch House Hotel provides an exceptional opportunity for a purchaser wishing to own a business in a sought after area. As a result of the hotel’s excellent reputation for quality and service, the current owners have enjoyed strong levels of trade, making this a profitable enterprise for a new owner-operator.”
