The Signet Collection has announced the appointment of six senior staff members to its leadership team, spanning culinary, wine, operations and marketing departments, as the company brings key business functions in-house ahead of a growth strategy.
Culinary director Richard Robinson joins the group to oversee dining experiences across the portfolio, having previously served as group executive chef at Company of Cooks where he managed culinary operations for the Royal Opera House and Kew Gardens.
Jack Bartholomew has been appointed head of wine to support the food and beverage team. Bartholomew was formerly the managing director of Carvers Hill Estate and held account management roles at Montrachet Fine Wine Merchants and Laithwaites.
Meanwhile, the group has named Christopher Drodge as general manager of The Mitre. Drodge, who previously worked for The Pig and Chewton Glen, will lead the relaunch of the hotel’s terrace areas before the summer season.
Daniel Vale joins as HR director to lead the group’s personnel strategy. Vale was previously a group human resources manager at Brownsword Hotels and Abode Hotels Group, specialising in hospitality industry policies.
Marketing and public relations functions have been centralised in-house for the first time. As a result, Jen Paylor has joined as commercial and marketing director from Hamilton Hotel Partners, supported by Charlotte Crofts as PR and communications manager.
Hector Ross, founder of The Signet Collection, said: “I am delighted to welcome our new ‘superstars’ to the Pride. It’s a really exciting time for us as we lay the foundations for our future.
“Now the team is onboard there is a great new energy about the place. Everyone is positively bubbling with ideas and I look forward to working with the team to turn these into great experiences for our guests in our current hotels and as we grow into new ones.”
