London stays top of European hotel development table

London has remained top of the list for hotel development in in Europe, with 17,919 bedrooms under contract, according to the STR Global Construction Pipeline report for November. 

London is way ahead of other European cities with Istanbul, Turkey coming in at second with 7,487 bedrooms under contract.

Manchester came third with 4,362 rooms under contract, followed by Moscow, Russia (3,563 rooms), Amsterdam, Netherlands (3,507 rooms), Berlin, Germany (2,540 rooms) and Munich, Germany (2,433 rooms).

The report includes data from projects in the in-construction, final planning and planning stages, but does not include those in the unconfirmed stage.
