Tottenham Hotspur has been granted planning approval for a new 30-storey hotel to be constructed south of their stadium. The hotel will feature 180 rooms, 49 residential apartments, and various amenities such as a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and gym. Set to be ready by the 2028 European Championship, the project aims to enhance the local economy and accommodate visitors during major sporting events. Despite concerns over increased noise and emergency services, consultations with neighbouring properties have been conducted.

Hotel Indigo Dundee has revealed its revamped bar, Eighteen Twenty-Two, following a £1m refurbishment. The bar pays homage to the building’s history as Dundee’s oldest linen mill, incorporating industrial design elements and showcasing local brands. Operating from morning till night, the bar offers a variety of beverages and a menu featuring local specialties and international favourites. The investment aims to elevate guests’ experience and celebrate Dundee’s rich culture.

Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has assumed management of Twickenham Stadium Hotel and initiated plans for its rebranding to a Radisson Red hotel. Aimbridge, known for its expertise in managing Radisson properties globally, will oversee a major refurbishment of the hotel. The transition aims to enhance guest experience while aligning with the Rugby Football Union’s vision for the property. The move marks a new chapter for the hotel, which has been operational since 2009 and is renowned for hosting various events.

Virgin Hotels Collection has appointed Naomi Moreno-Melgar as the new global director of communications. With over 25 years of experience in PR and communications, including a decade with Virgin Holidays, Moreno-Melgar will oversee communication strategies for both Virgin Hotels and Virgin Limited Edition. The appointment follows the integration of global sales teams and the formation of Virgin Hotels Collection, aimed at enhancing consumer experience and driving strategic growth. Moreno-Melgar’s leadership is expected to contribute significantly to the continued success of the brands.
