Hotel management specialists Countrywide Hotels has expanded its growing UK portfolio with the addition of the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon.

The 171-bedroom hotel has been acquired by a private client, with Countrywide Hotels appointed to oversee management and operations. It said the move strengthens the company’s position within the branded upscale hotel sector and “further demonstrates its expertise in driving performance across both independent and franchised properties”.

The hotel features a 24-hour fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, and digital key access via the Hilton Honors app. Dining is offered at the 14Twelve Brasserie and Bar, which focuses on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients to create comforting, modern British dishes. Guests can also enjoy freshly brewed coffee, light bites and pastries at the in-house Starbucks located in the hotel lobby.

It also offers 15 dedicated meeting and event spaces spread across 817 square metres and is equipped for conferences, training sessions, weddings, and celebrations of all kinds. The largest event suite accommodates up to 390 guests, supported by event staff and bespoke catering options.

Darren Patt, managing director of Countrywide Hotels, said: “We’re pleased to be working with Hilton on the management of the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity to build on the hotel’s strong foundations, enhancing both guest experience and operational performance. Our focus will be on driving quality, service and local engagement — ensuring the Doubletree by Hilton Swindon continues to be the leading choice for business and leisure travellers in the area.”
