RBH to operate Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile

In this episode we speak to brothers Alex and Adrien Grosjean, young entrepreneurs who have recently acquired The Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly. We discussed the reasons why Manchester’s visitor market is booming, and their decision to invest in this area, why they see extended-stay accommodation as a major opportunity in what is one of the UK's fastest-growing cities, how they plan to enhance their portfolio of hotels, and their advice for the next generation of hospitality disruptors.

RBH Hospitality Management has been appointed to operate Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile, extending its long-term partnership with Accor and marking a new relationship with hotel investor Legal and General.

The move adds a 99-room hotel on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile to RBH’s managed portfolio. The property includes a range of room types alongside an on-site bar and restaurant.

The deal marks RBH’s sixth property within the Ibis brand family, comprising three Ibis and three Ibis Styles hotels. It continues the company’s expansion within Accor’s economy and midscale brands across the UK.

The latest signing also strengthens RBH’s presence in Edinburgh. In July 2025, The Edinburgh Grand, a Luxury Collection hotel; Old Town Chambers Autograph Collection; and Abbey Strand Apartments joined the operator’s Edinburgh portfolio, increasing its exposure to the city’s leisure and tourism market.

RBH said the appointment represented an early portfolio addition in 2026 as it continues to grow its managed estate and deepen relationships with institutional investors.

Legal and General is an established investor in UK hospitality assets, while Accor operates one of the world’s largest hotel brand portfolios, spanning economy to luxury segments.

David Hart, CEO of RBH said: “This signing underscores the strong momentum in our business as we enter 2026. Adding this property to our portfolio not only reinforces our strategic expansion in key UK locations but also deepens our long-term and successful partnership with Accor.”
