ParkProperty Europe has appointed RBH Hospitality Management to operate two Staybridge Suites properties in Liverpool and Newcastle.

The agreement with owner ParkProperty Europe and asset manager Maya Capital adds 260 keys to the managed portfolio.

The contract includes the 128-bed Staybridge Suites Newcastle and the 132-bed Staybridge Suites Liverpool.

The move expands the relationship between RBH and IHG Hotels and Resorts, with the management firm now overseeing more than 2,500 rooms across 19 of IHG’s UK properties.

The signings increase the presence of RBH in the extended-stay and serviced apartment sector.

The company already manages similar assets in Dundee, Edinburgh, London and Middlesbrough, and the Liverpool site becomes the third hotel operated by the group in that city.

ParkProperty Europe acquired the two hotels at the end of 2025. The extended-stay segment has reported consistent growth in the UK hospitality market as demand increases for apartment-style amenities and longer durations of stay.

David Hart, chief executive of RBH Hospitality Management, said: “These signings are a clear reflection of our ambition to continue growing as a business and the strength of our enterprise.

“This is an exciting period for RBH, and these new signings reinforce our ability to operate high-quality hotels and serviced apartment properties in key UK locations, while also strengthening our valued partnership with IHG Hotels and Resorts.”

Jan-Hendrik Walloch, managing director of investment at ParkProperty Europe, added: “Following the acquisition of the Staybridge Suites in Liverpool and Newcastle at the end of last year, we are pleased to have secured RBH Hospitality Management as our new operator.

“As a highly experienced operator with proven expertise in the long-stay segment we believe RBH will bring a breath of fresh air to unlock the full value-creation potential of the assets.”

RBH expands portfolio with Staybridge Suites agreement

News Analysis

The recent appointment of RBH Hospitality Management to operate two Staybridge Suites properties in Liverpool and Newcastle underscores a crucial trend in the hospitality sector. This move follows the acquisition of similar assets by ECE Work and Live, which purchased the Staybridge Suites in Liverpool and Newcastle in January 2026, demonstrating a continuing strategy of consolidation and leveraging management expertise in well-performing markets focused on regional cities.

This partnership adds to RBH’s portfolio, which has expanded notably in recent years, as evidenced by its management of dual-branded hotels, including the Hotel Indigo and Staybridge Suites Dundee signed in late 2024 to further affirm its presence in Scotland.

As the market adapts to changing consumer preferences, RBH’s enhanced focus on the extended-stay sector mirrors similar trends seen in the expansion plans of IHG, which added over 380 rooms to the Staybridge Suites brand across Europe in mid-2024 to meet growing appetite for longer-term accommodation solutions.
