The Covenanter Hotel in Fife has been brought to market with a new lease asking price of £95,000, and annual rent of £70,000.
Located in the centre of Falkland, the Category B Listed building has origins dating back to 1771. Its recent history has seen it serve as a filming location in the television series Outlander
The hotel consists of five en suite letting bedrooms along with a licensed bar open to both residents and local customers. The venue also operates a restaurant as well as a daytime coffee shop.
Owner of the hotel, Ross Moonlight said: “I’ve decided to offer the lease for sale to allow me to focus on other business and personal interests. I’ve invested a great deal of time and effort into strengthening the Covenanter Hotel and bringing it to its strongest trading position to date, and I believe now is the right time for a new operator to take it forward.”
Simon Watson, senior business agent in hospitality at Christie and Co, who is managing the sale, added: “The Covenanter Hotel is being brought to the market at a point when the business is performing strongly, following significant investment and commitment from the current operator.
“The sale of the lease provides an excellent opportunity for an incoming operator to acquire a well-established and fully developed hospitality business. This is a rare chance to take on a proven operation with solid foundations and clear potential for continued growth”.
