International real estate advisor Savills has been appointed to advise on selecting an operator for a proposed hotel development at Riverside Works in Bakewell, Derbyshire.
The project will comprise a 72-bedroom hotel within a wider mixed-use scheme owned by Litton Properties. The site is located in the Peak District National Park.
Rooms are planned across the ground and three upper floors. Potential exists for 17 additional bedrooms in the western elevation and conversion, pending planning permission.
The property occupies a riverside setting along the River Wye. It is located near the A6, providing transport links to Sheffield, Derby, and Buxton via road and bus.
Nearby attractions include Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Bakewell remains the only town located within the boundaries of the national park, situated southwest of Sheffield.
Savills Manchester regional director of hotel capital markets Tom Cunningham said: “This is a unique opportunity to operate the potential hotel which will form part of the redevelopment at Riverside that is already emerging as one of Derbyshire’s most exciting mixed-use developments, and the hotel will be the latest addition.”
