Travelodge has announced the completion of the refit of its Manchester Central Riverside hotel on 12 January 2026.
The project forms part of an ongoing investment programme to upgrade hotels in business and leisure destinations across the UK.
The new design follows a study of more than 5,000 travellers which identified a demand for increased comfort and communal spaces.
Changes to the Manchester site include a redesigned reception area featuring leather bench seating, LED lighting, and wooden flooring.
Guest rooms have been decorated using a navy blue and neutral colour palette to separate functional areas from sleeping quarters.
Each room includes a king-size bed with a light box frame, bedside reading lights, and USB charging points.
Additional features in the upgraded rooms include blackout curtains, a desk with a chair, and a statement armchair.
The company has also installed low-energy lighting and provides complimentary hand and body wash in the redesigned bathrooms.
The group stated that the investment in its core product is providing commercial benefits. Wireless internet is available for 30 minutes at no cost, with 24-hour access priced at £3.
