Lazari Investments and Whitbread PLC have gained approval for a groundbreaking hub by Premier Inn hotel below The Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury, London. This innovative project converts a double-storey car park into a 207-bedroom hotel, incorporating advanced lighting technology and sustainable energy sources. Planned access through a ground-floor entrance ensures convenience for guests. With construction set to begin in 2024, the development aims to minimise environmental impact by repurposing existing space and utilising renewable energy. Focus Hotels, a hotel management partner, has launched a new employee recognition initiative aimed at fostering an industry-leading workplace culture. The scheme includes an annual champagne lunch at Theo Randall’s restaurant in London for the Employees of the Year, voted for by hotel teams. Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has become the third-party operator for the Residence Inn by Marriott in Manchester, expanding its extended stay hotel portfolio in the UK and Europe. The 155-room property, owned by Park Hotels Holding and asset managed by Ciel Capital, offers fully equipped accommodations and amenities. Aimbridge aims to leverage its operational expertise to enhance guest experiences and property performance. Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth has named Pat Green as the new general manager and Poppy Royle as operations manager, succeeding outgoing managers moving on to new challenges. Green brings experience from the Oceana Group, while Royle joins from Balmer Lawn Hotel in the New Forest.
