Choice Hotels EMEA has acquired the 16th-century Clarion Charlecote Pheasant Hotel near Stratford-Upon-Avon, adding 70 rooms, a restaurant, and bar to its portfolio. Located in the picturesque village of Charlecote, Warwickshire, the hotel offers amenities such as a tennis court and meeting facilities. With a Shakespearean theme, guests can explore unique features like Story Cards and the Cabinet of Curiosities. The acquisition reflects Choice Hotels’ commitment to expanding its UK portfolio and providing exceptional experiences in unique locations.

The Sarwar family has acquired the Grade II-listed Waterfront Lodge Hotel and former Prego Restaurant in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, with plans to reopen later this year. The purchase aims to create new jobs and support the local economy, continuing the tradition of hospitality established by the previous owners, the Bevilacqua family. German real estate management firm Deka Immobilien has acquired the Ruby Zoe hotel in London’s Notting Hill Gate for approximately €62m (£52.7m). The hotel, leased long-term to Ruby Hospitality UK Ltd, offers 173 rooms and is the second Ruby hotel in London. Deka Immobilien’s purchase reflects a strategic investment in a prime property with long-term lease agreements, aligning with its focus on core properties in desirable locations.
